In the objective and responsibility for customer health and environmental protection. Sonata Paint Company was together with Onip corporation started to launch the green products under the standard process of the Ecolabel certification. So what Ecolabel is and how it affects to our life.

Definition:

Eco-Label is the recognition of product quality which is established by Europe community in 1992. This recognition bring the advantage for the customer easily to recognize and buy reliable products. Eco-Label symbol is the green flowers that stand for the green trees . Thanks to Eco-Label, the consumer can assure that the products they use are really "green" which means they are completely to be friendly with the environment. These products are the excellent combination between quality and the strict standards of life and environment.

 

The outstanding feature of the Eco-Label

 

Wide scope of application

Eco-Label's strength lies on the wide range of Europe. In fact, it was known by all member in the European including Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

 

The Distinction:

Eco-Label certification is only granted for the products that have minimum affection to the  environment. Thus, the ecological criteria were defined very specific to grant the certification for only 30% products on the market until now. That means just only a small number of products on the market are worthy for this certification.

 

The volunteers

Actually, manufacturers are not required to apply this standard. It depends on the manufacturers want to apply the Eco-Label recognition or not. If their products can fully meet these standards, they can exhibited and introduced them to customers.

 

The concern:

In fact many representatives of industry, commerce, environmental organizations, consumer and business associations nowadays have taken part in this program because it is reasonable and wise choice.

 

These standards have been officially recognized:

The ecological standards which are built for a certain group of products must be approved by the majority of the European member before being officially published in the journal of the European Communities.

 

This is the seriously and strictly inspection during application:

Eco-label criteria which is applied to each product based on the evaluation process from the moment the product is "born" until it is "dead" (or the product life cycle analysis) to identify the impact of products to the environment throughout its life cycle, starting from raw materials ( "born") to the process stage, distribution (including packaging) until the product was given away ( "dead").

 

What products can be awarded Eco-Label?

 

Eco-Label can only be applied for the products that the European Community has given specific criteria to  and meet the standards to be certified Eco-Label. Ceramic tiles and natural stones, concrete are belongs to this group and called HFC (Hard Floor Coverings).

 

Eco Label for industrial production processes:

 

  • The high rate of reuse water (> 90%)

 

  • Reduce air pollution: Low dust pollution exhaling <200 mg / m2)

 

  • Consume less energy during combustion

 

  • Reduce the impact of solid waste due to the total waste release from the manufacturing process are regain:> 70%

 

  • Reduce the release of hazardous substances to the environment (RADIUM and CADMIUM).

 

By the strictly processes and management together with the fully control from representatives of Sonata cooperation - Onip Paint Group, the Company has been successfully produced 02 products :                                                                                   Onip Aqua 50 Matt      and Sonatex Aqua Matt      

which is following these standards of Ecolabel recognition. The consumer who use 02 those products could be not only enjoy the advantages of product feature such as optimal washability but also appreciate the special value of green, clean and safe space for living . Using Ecolabel product is the way to contribute with the local and international community to protect the life environment for our future generation.
